Stream A
Retail Banking and Wealth Management Digital

Internship Duration: 6 months
Internship Period: Between July and December 2019

Job Duties

  • Develop and evaluate digital business models
  • Engage in online banking projects to provide premium digital services for retail banking and wealth management customers across platforms and propositions
  • Assist to manage the development and implementation of digital initiatives to rollout new sales and services features online
  • Evaluate the potential for new technologies and services in supporting business development and customer experience
  • Assist to manage the implementation with consideration of compliance and regulatory requirements to mitigate associated risks
  • Optimize resources to achieve cost efficiency while attaining business goals and objectives

Requirements

  1. Education Background:
    • Second or penultimate-year UG students
  2. Disciplines Preferred:
    • All disciplines welcome
  3. Technical Skills
    • Interested and experienced in developing or operating digital products such as applications, websites or payment solutions
  4. Language Proficiency
    • Good command of written and spoken English
    • Good command of written Chinese and spoken Cantonese
  5. Others
    • Able to adapt quickly and able to interpret complex information across business and technology
    • Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels
    • Strong interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills
    • Good understanding of the financial services industry globally and key trends, particularly in trade and innovation
    • All candidates must complete a series of online assessments as part of the HSBC evaluation process

 
 

Stream B
Innovation & Business Growth, Commercial Banking

Internship Duration: 6 months
Internship Period: Between July and December 2019

Job Duties

  • Assist leading strategic growth and innovation initiatives across Commercial Banking in Asia
  • Working with key stakeholders across countries and functions
  • Stay abreast of market and competitive developments, and explore the application of new technologies to enhance our client offering
  • Shepherding client deals and coordinating delivery across multiple countries
  • Example projects include development of our digital offering for business banking clients and rollout of our Association of Southeast Asian Nations plans
  • Constantly evaluate emerging technologies and developing opportunities to see how best they can affect and change the organization
