Internship Information


You can look forward to a 12 months full time working opportunity which begins with firm-wide orientation together with other placement analysts and summer analysts. The placement opportunity will enable you to grow quickly into positions of responsibility, we expect our placement analysts to perform as our full time employees, involve in different mobile and digital projects implementation, troubleshoots and resolves online banking and mobile banking related issues with hands-on opportunities to apply agile methodology to introduce new features to the customers quickly.


We are looking for creative thinker who can help us to progress Citi and the global banking industry forward, you will involve in latest FinTech trend research and assess to senior management.


This is a quick pass into our 2020 Global Consumer Bank Summer Analyst Program, which eventually serves as the entry ticket of our 2021 GCB Full Time Analyst Program.


Stream A
Digital Banking Team, Global Consumer Bank
Placement Analyst (Digital)

Internship Duration: 12 months
Internship Period: 17 June 2019 – 16 June 2020

Job Duties

  • Get exposure in fintech related projects, including opportunities to connect with the developer community and merchant partners in various open banking opportunities
  • Groom potential talents in the digital banking and fintech industries
  • Get involved in agile development methodology and design thinking principles
  • Produce research papers on latest fintech trends and the opportunities for Citi
  • Involved in the development of :
    • Fintech projects e.g. Open API, Chatbot, biometric authentication
    • Digital banking development projects e.g. UI/UX enhancements, introduce new/enhanced functionalities on online and mobile banking
    • Tasks include: user requirement / user story, UI/UX design, testing, implementation

Requirements

  1. Education Background:
    • Undergraduate / Postgraduate students graduating between Dec 2020 – Jul 2021, with minimum CGPA of 3.2 / 4.0

  • Having opportunities to participate in Fintech or Emerging Technologies initiatives
  • Having opportunities to have an in-depth experience of real banking industry
  • Having opportunities to participate in different scales projects and understand and practice Agile project management skills
  • Involve in:
    • Digital/online solutions implementation
    • Mobile banking enhancements
    • Engage in Open API use cases discussion and implementation with partners
    • Possibility of being involved in projects in new technology trends and tools, that supports latest FinTech initiatives, such as virtual banking, remote account opening, ChatBot, and other new ideas
    • Troubleshooting and identifying solutions to system issues

Requirements

  1. Education Background:
    • Undergraduate / Postgraduate students graduating in 2021, with minimum CGPA of 3.2 / 4.0

Marketing Team, Global Consumer Bank
Placement Analyst (Marketing)

Internship Duration: 12 months
Internship Period: 17 June 2019 – 16 June 2020

Development Opportunities:
  • Experience the revolutionary project on how the bank remodel marketing via digital transformation to reflect the best practices emerging from FinTech, social media, and e-commerce
  • Deep dive in the social media marketing context to increase its relevance to financial services and extend the learning to digital marketing with involving in campaigns development and day-to-day exposure on marketing trends
  • Experience the process of how to integrate consumer insights and pain points into communications with right contents and right channels, end-to-end decision making process from planning to deployment, and, ultimately, influence product and proposition development
  • Understand customers’ needs and deep-dive into consumer insights via online community

Job Duties

An opportunity to contribute to key digital marketing initiatives including:
  • Digital Transformation for Marketing
  • Be part of the Marketing Scrum team and work with a range of senior management to formulate a customer-centric and digital-based marketing model to drive on-going communication excellence and to explore more opportunities to drive digital acquisition, cross-selling and customer engagement
  • Plan and organize marketing workshops to cultivate a marketing-oriented culture across the bank
  • Drive the marketing team’s work with agencies to create best practices for communicating authentically with digital natives
  • Deep-dive digital marketing performance statistics and design a model for on-going testing and tracking to measure uplift and introduce A/B testing
Online Community
  • Design and implement strategies to continually improve members’ engagement through CX
  • Initiate ideas and implement members’ activities that will involve senior management to drive members engagement
  • Design and implement online consumer researches that best serve business needs and to unearth consumer insights on topics ranging from messaging through UI/UX
Digital Banking Solutions for tomorrow
  • Input on insight for proposition and implementation on the marketing communications level
  • Support Marketing team the end to end process for the campaign development and implementation
  • Work with internal team and external agencies for media planning, creative design and social content production to support the launch
