Retail Banking and Wealth Management (Digital)

Internship Duration: 6-month
Internship Period: Anytime within 01/07/2018 – 31/12/2018

Job Duties

  • Develop and evaluate digital business models
  • Engage in online banking projects to provide premium digital services for retail banking and wealth management customers across platforms and propositions
  • Assist to manage the development and implementation of digital initiatives to rollout new sales and services features online
  • Evaluate the potential for new technologies and services in supporting business development and customer experience
  • Assist to manage the implementation with consideration of compliance and regulatory requirements to mitigate associated risks
  • Optimize resources to achieve cost efficiency while attaining business goals and objectives

Requirements

  1. Education Background:
    • Second or penultimate-year UG student
  2. Disciplines Preferred:
    • All disciplines welcome
  3. Technical Skills
    • Interested and experience in developing or operating digital products such as apps, websites or payment solutions
  4. Language Proficiency
    • Good command of written and spoken English
    • Good command of written Chinese and spoken Cantonese
  5. Others
    • Able to adapt quickly and able to interpret complex information across business and technology
    • Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels
    • Strong interpersonal, leadership, negotiation, analytical, presentation and decision making skills
    • Understanding of the Retail Banking business and operating environment in Hong Kong is an advantage
    • All candidates must complete an online Situation judgment test as part of the HSBC evaluation process

 
 

Stream B
HSBC Operations, Services and Technology

Internship Duration: 6-month

Job Duties

We are currently seeking high-performing and talented students with a keen interest in Financial Technology, in the field of applied innovation sponsored jointly by the HKMA and ASTRI, a scheme offering you the opportunity to cover a diverse range of technology roles across the breath of our business, from Retail Banking and Wealth Management to Commercial Banking and Global Banking and Markets. You will experience the challenges of a technology-driven business environment, an R&D culture in a lab setting, contributing to meaningful projects that have a direct impact on our business success. The R&D areas of interests include, but not limited to, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Biometric Authentication, Cyber Security, and Big Data.


Over the course of the placement with HSBC under this scheme, you will also benefit from a range of learning and development initiatives, including senior management networking session, Student Learn and Share Sessions, and regular coaching and performance assessment, all intended to ensure you continue developing to make the most of your talent.
